QUICK AT-HOME WORKOUT

Are you pressed for time but still want to get in a great workout in the comfort of your own home? This Tabata style workout may be just what you're looking for!





It's a busy day and you can't make it to the gym, on top of that you only have a short amount of time to spare but you're committed and still want to get a workout in but what should you do? Well let me introduce you to Tabata. No it's not a type of Italian bread, it's a circuit style training format that gives you a lot of bang for your buck.


Tabata training is laid out just like circuit training with a selection of different exercises all performed back to back for a number of rounds. With this style you perform each exercise for 20 seconds before taking 10 seconds to rest then progressing onto the next exercise. Once all exercises have been completed this way you can complete the workout as many times as you want. It's a great style of training for people that are pressed for time or just simply want to train at home, it will really get your heart rate up with its high intensity and it's fun as there's an endless amount of different exercise combinations you can choose.

This workout is guaranteed to leave you in a sweaty mess and help burn some serious calories. Aim to complete 3 rounds of this workout, you can always increase the number of rounds if you want to make it even more challenging, that's the best thing about Tabata training it can be used for all different levels of fitness simply by changing the number of rounds!


Make sure you are really pushing yourself and working at a maximum level for the entire 20 seconds of work. During your 10 seconds of rest take deep breaths and prepare yourself for the next 20 seconds of work.
